Do I need any prior experience to take this course?
No prior experience is necessary! The course is designed for both beginners and
those with some knowledge of opal cutting. You’ll learn everything from the basics to
advanced techniques as you progress.

How long does the course take to complete?
The course is self-paced, so you can complete it at your own speed. Most students
finish in 4-6 weeks, but you can take more or less time depending on your schedule
and level of experience.

Can I access the course on mobile devices?
Yes! You can access the course on any device, including smartphones, tablets, and
computers. Kajabi allows you to learn from anywhere with an internet connection.

Will I have lifetime access to the course materials?

We offer a 7 day refund policy. If you are not satisfied with the course, please contact us within 7 days of purchase, and we will discuss your concerns.

Can I share my progress or finished opals?

How do I get started with the first lesson?
After purchasing the course, you’ll receive an email with instructions to log into the
course platform. Once logged in, simply navigate to the course library and begin
with Lesson 1. Each lesson builds on the previous one, so you’ll be guided through
the process step-by-step.

Do I need to purchase opals for the course?
If you don't already own rough opal, you’ll need to purchase some in order to practice your cutting skills. You can source these from our website, Black Opal Direct, or other opal suppliers. Keep in mind that we, or others, may not always have rough opal product available for you to
purchase.

What if I don’t have all the tools?
If you don’t have all the tools immediately, don’t worry. The course provides a
detailed tool list, and you can start by learning the theoretical aspects of opal cutting
before purchasing the necessary tools. Some students begin with basic tools and
gradually expand their toolkit as they progress.

Can I retake lessons if I need to review something?
Absolutely! You can retake any lesson as many times as you’d like. Since you have
lifetime access, you can go back and review specific topics whenever you need a
refresher.

Can I call myself a professional opal cutter once I’ve done the course?
This course is not intended to be a comprehensive course on opal from around the
world. It’s a special program to imbue you with the knowledge Justin’s father handed
down to him – especially when it came to Australian black opal from Lightning Ridge.
